How many movies that you have ever watched? Plenty! I guess. For me, watching movies is my favorite hobby that I have ever had. If movies could make people addicted to them, maybe I would be already addicted. I can’t even force myself not to open a movie file while I’m eating at home. I love watching all types of movies, especially, romance. From all romantic movies, there’s nothing as special as Love, Rosie
Love, Rosie is a romantic comedy-drama film directed by Christian Ditter, and it’s also a book written by Juliette Towhidi too. This movie was about Alex and Rosie who have been best friends since they could remember. One day, Rosie found that she was pregnant with another guy when Alex had to go far away for studying. She didn’t want Alex to worry about it. Then she said nothing, but, eventually, Alex knew it and wanted to be a godfather. Deep in their heart, they have fallen in love with each other since a childhood, but they refused to show their feelings. At the end of the story, they never gave up on their love again, and lived together with Rosie’s daughter.
Even I don’t have any kids, Love, Rosie always reflects a part of my life. A part that I had a best friend, who was a boy, and I didn’t plan to be more than just “friend”. When I knew ‘it’ already happened, I ignored my feeling. Finally, he noticed and asked me. I told him the truth. He said he loved me too, but it would not be work to be a lover. I felt so hurt like my heart was tore apart. Then we stopped seeing each other and gave up on us. A week later, he told me that he shouldn’t have said like that because he always loved me, but he was just afraid to lose me. So now, he is my “best boyfriend” – best friend and boyfriend.
Almost the same plot, Love, Rosie reminds me about my life. Every time I watch it again, every story rushes into my mind that I fell in love with my best friend, we gave up on us, and finally, we are dating. Like Rosie said, sometimes, people don’t see that the best thing that’s ever happened to them is sitting there, right under their nose. Therefore, don’t take anything for granted.
