My Experience as a volunteer at a rural development camp

Last week I joined the volunteer for rural development camp with my friends. It took place at Ban Lin Chang school , Phetchaburi. The school is on the mountain, we stayed there.  We went there by bus. We left Bangkok on Friday at 6 p.m. and arrived there around 10 p.m. When we arrived, we had to took everything in our places and we had a little meeting, so we went to bed very late around 2 a.m. I was chosen to be in a food group.  The member in this group and I had to cook breakfast and lunch for everyone in the camp, so we had to get up early before others. We got up at 5 p.m. surprisingly, I didn’t feel any sleepy but fresh. I thought that was a good chance to see the sunrise and touch the fresh air. The entire cooking member helped together cooking meals for everyone. We had a good time because we cook , eat and talk. I love being in this group the most. Next, I was in an education group. In this group, the member had a job as a teacher. We took care of students. We taught them to make a Tuna sandwich. And also, we showed and taught them about science. The students seemed to be surprise about the science we showed. Although the life in the camp was difficult, there were not comfortable facilities, I love there. I got many new friends. I met many students. Every activity was very fun. This camp gave me many things, new friends, fresh air, sincere students, fun activities. I’m sure I will be sorry if I didn’t go there.
