My lovely pets “Whisky and Vodka”
In August last year, I did something challenging that I have never done before that is owning pets. Usually, dogs or cats at my house are belong to my parents and my aunt. I only helped them to feed their pets sometimes.
One day, while I was walking at the market, it was a group of baby hamsters that caught my eyes and I couldn’t stop staring at them. I felt like it wanted to go back home with me so I decided to buy it. At first, I bought only one hamster but I afraid that it would be alone so I bought a couple of them. At that moment, I got my hamsters for the first time even though I knew nothing about them; what does they eat, how to feed them, and what should I do when it got sick. I named them “Whisky and Vodka”. Until now, I have been caring them for 1 year and 3 months, they helped me not to be alone and I also learned how to be responsible for my own pets. They are like my friends. I can play with them anytime I want. They are so nice and friendly to me and also my friends. Moreover, to raise them, I had to be responsible more than I had been before. As I remember, I did many things for them. First, I tried to study what is the life style of hamsters, what does they eat, and how to care them. I went to JJ market to buy good-graded food and their stuff such as sawdust for their beds, and their toys. I registered the website that is about hamster to see how other owners take care their hamsters. I learn that I have to clean their cages once a week at least so I did. But Lately, I quite didn’t have time to care them enough because a mountain of work I got from university. I was so tired. Thus, my brother had to care them for me often. It made me think about what my mom have said to me before. My mom told me that to raise someone or even a pet, I need time for them not just let passion drove me to do anything I wanted without considering the result following.
From now on, when I decide to do something, I will always realize my mom says in order not to make myself and my pets afflicted.
