Why is family so important?

Have you ever wondered why we are so bonded to our family members? It may be because family is a group of people whom we have seen and lived together since we were born. Yet not every family is perfect. Some have only father or mother, and some have only auntie or grandma to take care of a child. Family’s love is unconditional love. I have no idea why we still love each other, even though we had a big fight. They will also always support and stand by me. When I face a hard times, I will come to my parents, talk to them, and ask if they have any advice about what to do to pass those hard times. Moreover, you lose your friends or break up with your love; however your family will absolutely be by your side any time you need. Thus, you should spend time with your family as much as you can to not regret whatever is going to happen in the future, because you will never know whether it would be tomorrow. I also like a quotation from the movie “Lilo and Stitch” which said “Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.”

  1. Short but sweet. It seems your writing is from your heart, Aom.

I would like to mention that friends can be like family, too. Sometimes we are born into families that are not good for us. In this case, friends are essential for love, support and life. Isn’t it true?

We are stuck with the families we are born to, but our friends are chosen by us carefully.
